                                      Winter League 2009-2010  

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT:- 

Due to the adverse weather, so many matches have had to be cancelled, that it appears some of you are running out of time.  Therefore a decision has been made to extend the Winter season until March 31st. No matches played after that date will be counted.   However, this does mean that the presentations of the trophies will not be made at the Summer AGM in March, but will be presented at the Winter AGM in the summer instead.  In order for the ladies winners to be decided, all ladies matches must finish by March 17th.  This then will allow a couple of weeks for the winners of the East and West divisions to organise the play-off. The toss for home venue for the final was made at the Exeter League Committee Meeting held 17th Feb.  The winners of Ladies Division East will be at home to the winners of Ladies Division West.

Winter League Rules:  

Men - No player under the age of 45 who has played in Division One of the 2009 Summer League is allowed to play in the Mens' Division.

Ladies - No player under the age of 40 who has played in Division One of the 2009 Summer League is allowed to play in the Ladies Division.

At least 4 players must be registered with the League Secretary on the form provided BEFORE your first match.  Other players may be registered on the score card when match is played by putting an asterisk by the side of their name.

Matches may be re-arranged without penalty, but please inform the opposing captain in plenty of time if you are unable to play on the original match date.

All matches to consist of 2 tie-break sets with all matches tied at one set all to play a third set Championship tie-break.  (First to 10 by 2 points clear).

All Mens' league matches to be completed before March 12th 2010

All Ladies League matches to be completed by February 26th 2010 to enable final between West Division  and East Division to be played before March 12th 2010

Trophy's will be presented to the league winners at the Summer A.G.M.
